- Username — chosen by you when you register, used to identify your account and wallet.
- Password (hashed) — stored securely hashed; we never store or display your plain-text password.
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in across visits to our micro-apps.
- Purchase & tip records — amounts, timestamps, and related metadata for Treat Credit top-ups, in-app purchases, and optional tips (for accounting and support).
- Usage activity — basic in-app events (e.g., items viewed or bought, scroll sessions) to power history, stats, and the experience itself.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as health records or government IDs) through GentleTreat.
2. How we use information
We use collected data to:
- Authenticate you and maintain your wallet balance across micro-apps.
- Record purchases, tips, and in-app history you can view in the UI.
- Operate, secure, and improve the service.
- Respond to support requests sent to our contact email.
3. What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. GentleTreat is not in the business of trading user information to advertisers or data brokers.
We also do not use your data to provide medical, therapeutic, or financial advice — because GentleTreat is virtual entertainment only.
4. Where data is stored
Account, wallet, and activity records are stored securely on systems we operate. Access is limited to what is needed to run the service.
Session cookies are set by our application to keep you logged in. You can clear cookies in your browser, which will sign you out.
5. Payments
Real-money payments for Treat Credit top-ups and tips are handled by a licensed third-party payment provider. When you pay, card and billing details are sent directly to that provider under their privacy policy and security practices.
GentleTreat receives confirmation of successful payments and stores transaction references needed for your wallet and records — not full payment card numbers.
6. Cookies
We use essential session cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on these pages.
7. Retention & deletion
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and as needed for legitimate operational, legal, and accounting purposes. You may contact us to request account deletion; some records may be retained where required by law or for fraud prevention.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including password hashing and server access controls. No online service can guarantee perfect security; please use a strong, unique password.
9. Children
GentleTreat is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
10. Changes & contact
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be noted on the About page.
